The 8753ES firmware upgrade, revision 07.64, is compatible with Windows 3.1, WindowsNT, Windows95 and Windows98® operating systems1.

This firmware upgrade is compatible with all 8753ES vector network analyzers.

Downloading Instructions

To download the 8753ES firmware upgrade, click on the hyperlink provided below. When the "Save As" dialog box appears, save the 8753es764.exe file to your computer's hard drive.

This file is a Windows self-extracting file. Select start, run and type in the path to the file, or press the browse button to navigate through the directory structure to the file. Select the OK button. This process will uncompress the file2.

Installation Instructions

Transfer the firmware file to an MS-DOS formatted 3.5-inch disk. Insert the disk into the network analyzer's floppy-disk drive. If the power is off, turn on the network analyzer to upload the new firmware into the instrument. If the instrument is on, then simply cycle the power to upload the firmware. Once the file has finished uploading, the instrument will display the new firmware revision number. After installation of the firmware upgrade, the 8753ET vector network analyzer is ready for use.

2Do not change the filename. The network analyzer will not recognize and load the file if the filename has been changed.
