Can 3488A programs run on 3499A/B/C?

The 3499A/B/C is both hardware and software compatible with the 3488A Switch/Control unit. The 3488A modules will work in the 3499A/B/C mainframes. The 3499A/B/C can be operated with either the SCPI (Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments) or the 3488A command sets. The benefit of upgrading from a 3488A to an 3499A/B/C is that it doubles the channel capacity and lowers the cost per channel with no additional cost in modules
