How do I fix the "Can't Connect to USB Device" problem when connecting to a DSO3000 series oscilloscope?
If you cannot establish a USB connection to the 3000 scope try the following:
- Connect the oscilloscope via the USB port; make sure the oscilloscope is powered on.
- Look at the unplug/eject hardware icon on the PC.
- If the 3000 Series oscilloscope is registered, go to the PC’s Device Manager (right-click on My Computer and choose Manage from the popup menu).
- In Device Manager:
a. Uninstall the Keysight Technologies->Keysight DSO3000 Oscilloscope Series driver.
b. Cycle power on the 3000 Series oscilloscope. The PC should reinstall the USB driver.
c. Try the N2680A software again. - If the 3000 Series oscilloscope is not registered, you most likely have a bad USB connection or have not installed the 3000 Series oscilloscope driver.
