Are there any limitations on the types of software that I can load onto the B1500A’s PC?

Keysight does not absolutely restrict you from loading other software products onto the B1500A PC. However, we cannot guarantee that any software package loaded onto the instrument will be problem free. In a worst-case situation, you may have to perform a complete system recovery if a piece of software installed on the B1500A causes one or more features to stop functioning. It is prudent advice to avoid installing any additional software onto the B1500A PC unless absolutely necessary. Also please remember that anti-virus software might cause unpredictable behavior if (for example) a virus scan starts automatically in the middle of a measurement. You need to be careful as to how you set up the default settings if you place anti-virus software on the B1500A.
