How do I determine or adjust the sample rate of my 6000-series oscilloscope?

To determine the sample rate, press the Main/Delayed button. The scope will display the current sample rate in the lower left portion of the display.

You cannot directly adjust the sample rate. The scope sets the sample rate automatically based on the timescale and available memory depth. The available memory depth depends upon the number of channels turned on and whether the scope is in the Run/Stop mode or Single mode.

To achieve the maximum available sample rate:

  • Use only half of the available channels and turn off unused channels
  • Press the Single button to acquire your waveform
