IO Libraries Suite: When do I have to use the Keysight IO Libraries?

If you interact with your instruments with instrument drivers, or with a custom T&M development environment such as Keysight VEE Pro or NI LabVIEW, you will not directly interact with the I/O library. However, these tools use an I/O library themselves to control the instrument. Therefore, for these applications you will also need an I/O library. Most instrument drivers, VEE Pro, and LabVIEW work with the VISA I/O library. IVI-COM instrument drivers require the VISA COM library.
