How do I activate Windows on my embedded controller?

As of May 2020, all Keysight embedded controller images are made without internet connection due to security precaution and prevention of vulnerability to virus attacks. This also prevents the operating system from activation.  If you want to activate Windows, connect your embedded controller to the internet.  Windows will automatically activate once Windows detect the internet connection is available.  Please follow Windows Security Guidelines below when connecting to the internet.

If your system is connected to the Internet, you should take the following steps to ensure the operating system is protected:

• Use an Internet firewall.
• Get the latest Windows updates.
• Install and use up-to-date anti-virus software.
