For any heavily used antenna, performance will decline as physical and electrical flaws accumulate with the passage of time. Whether the cause is a lightning strike in the field or an accidental drop in the lab, the damage to an antenna may become clear only after a thorough calibration. Our team can perform free-space and far-field measurements of antenna gain, and our facility includes an OATS and multiple anechoic chambers. We maintain compliance with CISPR ± 1 dB for calibration test site (CALTS) standards on our 50 x 80-meter ground plane/OATS. In addition, our OATS meets strict CISPR CALTS requirements and meets the ± 2 dB criteria for normalized site attenuation (NSA). Due to these factors, our results have significantly lower uncertainties than other sites and methods. Anechoic chambers are used to test small, highfrequency antennas and to calibrate field probes. Our chambers meet ANSI/CISPR site-validation requirements and are validated to test antenna calibration patterns above 1 GHz (CISPR 16-1-4).
