The Keysight Technologies, N5531X measuring receiver system provides metrology customers with an ideal tool for calibrating signal generators and step attenuators up to 50 GHz. It enables customers to use off-the-shelf, general-purpose instruments to perform measurements with the most stringent requirements for measurement uncertainty, repeatability, and traceability in metrology and calibration environments.
• A True "One-Box" Solution with Maximum Capacity
The N5531X is comprised of an N9030B PXA high-performance signal analyzer installed with the N9091EM0E measuring receiver application software, and a specially-designed U5532C USB-based power sensor module with single-input connection up to 50 GHz (Figure 1). Alternatively, for customers who have been using the previous-generation PSA-based N5531S measuring receiver, the N5531X can also be configured with a legacy N5532B sensor module and an N191xA power meter in addition to the N9030B PXA signal analyzer. The high configuration similarity between the N5531X and its predecessor enables N5531S install-base customers an effortless migration and technology refresh.
The N9030B PXA signal analyzer, which the N5531X measuring receiver is based on, maintains the technical excellence of the PSA and incorporates the RF circuits, state-of-the-art digital signal processing (DSP), and advanced measurement sciences to achieve performance that meets or exceeds what the PSA offers. In addition, the N9030B PXA's multi-touch user interface ensures ease-of-use; its backward code compatibility guarantees that the N5531S remote programs are reusable.
