S91XX Series 5G Multi-Band Vector Transceivers

Frequency Range 1* (FR1) 5G New Radio (NR) deployments are well underway across the globe, and that means network equipment manufacturers (NEMs) are facing new design and test challenges with Frequency Range 2* (FR2). NEMs need to accelerate the workflow from R&D, integration, and design verification to manufacturing test for high-performance millimeter-wave (mmWave) base stations (gNB) and small cells.

 

The evolving 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) standards expand the complexity of the physical layer while adding new over-the-air (OTA) test requirements for mmWave bands. Carrier aggregation also requires wider bandwidths and massive multiple-input / multiple-output (MIMO) implementation for spatial / beamforming performance.
