Memory Type: Static RAM Memory Size: 512K x 16

Memory Function:
This memory is on the E8401-66503 board which is the Enhanced Monitor for the E8404A.
It provides display of the E8404A power supply (Voltages, Currents, Power), Slot temperature, and Fan Speed.

This memory contains the most recent values of these parameters This is the operating system RAM for the main processor

User Modifiable (Y/N): Y Volatile (Y/N): Y
Memory Erase Processes:
Power cycle the product (i.e. turn OFF and then turn back ON)
 
Memory Type: Static RAM Memory Size: 64K x 16

Memory Function:
This memory is on the E8401-66503 board which is the Enhanced Monitor for the E8404A. This ram is used by a dedicated   
LCD Controller to drive the LCD display

User Modifiable (Y/N): Y Volatile (Y/N): Y

Memory Erase Processes:
Power cycle the product (i.e. turn OFF and then turn back ON)

 

Memory Type: Battery backed Static RAM Memory Size: 8K x 8

Memory Function:
Stores calibration for the monitor and a history of the E8404A power supply (Voltages, Currents, Power), Slot temperature, 
and Fan Speed.

User Modifiable (Y/N): Y Volatile (Y/N): N

Memory Erase Processes:
To clear the history send the commands:
HISTORY:RESET:ALL;:SYST:NVDEFAULT;:SYST:SAVE

To clear the calibration and the Critical System info do:
DIAG:BIRTH ,<year>,<month>,<day>

i.e. DIAG:BIRTH 2004,3,1 set to March 1, 2004
The DIAG:BIRTH command is not in the users manual.
After doing the DIAG:BIRTH command a re-calibration is required.
