Fault Detective: Why does my perpetual license file expire on January 31st?

Fault Detective Revisions: All revisions

A perpetual license requires a yearly renewal of the license file. All perpetual license files are set to expire on January 31st of the following year in which they are redeemed. Keysight will notify the end user on file (the information entered by the user when redeeming the license file) before the license file expires with instructions on how to renew the license file. This renewal does not cost anything.

Keysight recommends appointing a single person within a company or group to manage all Fault Detective licenses. This allows companies to better manage the usage of their licenses, keeping track of who is using a license and an opportunity to transfer a license to a different computer. It also helps prevent a person from erroneously redeeming a license file that is not intended for their use when an order contains multiple licenses. When it is time to renew a perpetual license file, Keysight can work with the appointed contact to renew all of the license files.
