(SUPPORTED MODELS IN BOLD: E5071C E5072A E5070B/71B E5070A/71A E5061A/62A E5061B E5063A E5091A E5092A)

Yes, up to two E5092A Configurable Multiport Test Sets can be controlled from one ENA Network Analyzer (E5071C/E5070B/E5071B) with the firmware revision of 9.10 or above. By combining with the two E5092As, up to 40-port measurement or up to 16-port full crossbar measurement is achieved with one ENA as indicated below. Multiple test sets can be controlled with the following procedure.

Step 1: Set ID for E5092A

For handling multiple E5092As, it is necessary to assign a different ID of each test set connected to the ENA. The ID number can be set with the ID bit switch on rear panel of the E5092A. Select bit 0 for the first test set with ID 1, and bit 1 for the second test set with ID 2.

Step 2: Connect USB cables

Connect the ENA and each test set via USB cables.

Step 3: Select test set ID number with the ENA firmware

Select Test Set 1 for the first test set with ID 1 and Test Set 2 for the second test set with ID 2 under [System] > [Multiport Test Set Setup] in the ENA softkey menu. The multiport test sets and its switching configuration for measurement are selected in the menu. To enable test set control, press [Control] to turn on the function under each test set softkey.
