For the PSA Series Spectrum Analyzers, is the new two year calibration cycle applicable to all instruments?

The decision to change the recommended calibration cycle from 1 year to 2 years was determined by reviewing field service center calibration results and examining the drift mechanisms that could trigger an out of calibration condition. The calibration results on a significant quantity of PSAs demonstrated the instruments are very stable over a 2 year period. The study included all hardware versions shipped during the life of the PSA and concluded that all hardware vintages support this longer calibration cycle.

The calibration cycle duration is based on instrument stability only, and does not factor in the possibility of a hardware failure that would result in the instrument needing to be taken out of service and repaired before the instrument reached the end of the recommended 2 year calibration cycle.
