How do I install the latest firmware?

Download the latest firmware and install it in the instrument.

Note: Installing firmware rev 3.xx into incompatible hardware may cause serious damage to the instrument. If the current E5100A/B has firmware rev 1.xx or 2.xx, you can update the firmware up to rev 2.16 without any hardware modification. But to update to firmware rev 3.xx from 2.xx and earlier, you must install one of the upgrade kits E5100-65091 - E5100-65096.
