Which printers are supported by the InfiniiVision oscilloscopes?

Keysight InfiniiVision 1200 X-Series and EDUX1052A/G oscilloscopes will work with printers that support Direct PDF printing over USB/IPP (Internet Printing Protocol). Some network printers may need an "ipp://" in front of the IP address to specify they are using IPP. So, when entering the Printer Address into the oscilloscope, you should try it with "ipp://<ip_address>" and see if that works any better. For example, if the IP address is 1.2.3.4, you could try either of the following:

  • ipp://1.2.3.4
  • 1.2.3.4:631/ipp/print

The remaining Keysight and Keysight InfiniiVision oscilloscopes will work with printers from major manufacturers which offer native support for PCL3 and PCL5 printer command languages. PCL3 is commonly utilized in most personal ink-based printers, and PCL5 is found in most business class laser printers. Many ink-based and laser printers from a variety of vendors including HP, Lexmark, Epson, and Canon meet these requirements. Please note that the PCL3GUI command language used in some ink based printers is not compatible with our oscilloscopes. The data sheet for each individual printer will identify the printer command language(s) supported by the printer.

These statements are not an endorsement or preference for any specific vendor's product.
