What's New in Genesys Release 2006.04

In addition to serious performance improvements in the simulators, Genesys Release 2006.04 offers:

Totally New

• Compact Data Format - files can be saved in XML compatible Compact Data Format at about half the size of 2005.11 and four times the speed. This format is not compatible with 2005.11
• Equations - adds support for vectors of strings, adds using function
• Libraries - a new docking Library Selector for all Genesys objects, ability to load multiple libraries and library types from one dialog, encryption support
• Licensing - support for ADS network license servers and keys
• Models - new S Parameter files for Hittite, new Nonlinear models for Linear Technologies and On Semiconductor, new Intermod Table Mixer library
  Monte Carlo Analysis with savable and comparable results
• WhatIF - adds support for intermod table mixers
  Yield Analysis with root cause display, Yield Optimization

• Annotation - support for arcs and polygons
• Datasets - ability to import data from a text file, two column complex display
• Documentation - Element Help is now available, general documentation was improved and enhanced
• Empower - general improvements including better DC interpolation, improved interface to analyses
• Equations - improved error results for parse errors
• Examples - numerous new and improved examples
• Graphs - new graph selectable yield transparency and removable spectral connecting lines. Noise and gain circles. Some performance improvements
• HARBEC - added node and branch reduction, better defaults, some improvements to convergence algorithms
• Optimization - improved graphic display, show best result, improved Minimax calculation, repaired flatten
• Schematics - fit to page and fit page, improved UI
• Scripting - some new verbs added to support complex script programs
• SPECTRASYS - Level diagrams can zoom, basic mixer supports LO harmonics, support for algebraic filters, new white Noise source, new SData hybrid linear-nonlinear models, level diagram symbols are clickable, designators and part numbers are stored in the dataset, InstaTables now show the designators, mixers have new reverse isolation parameters
• Status Dialog - Now allows moving and updating of graphs and datasets while running, less screen room
• Tables - two column complex display, Copy to Notes command for print/export
• Tuning - Includes ability to recalculate autocalculating analyses and checkpoint visible graphs
• Workspace Migration - improvements to translation of: models (some), optimizations, sweeps, substrates
