Keysight Solutions Day

Date(s) Location Registration
22 March 2018 Kista, Sweden Register here

During the day our experts will present and discuss a range of solutions to help address your test and measurement challenges.

The format is relaxed and open, simply select the topics that are of interest to you, and between times enjoy complimentary lunch and refreshments as you network with peers and experts in their respective fields.

In addition, you will also have an opportunity to get hands on with the latest Keysight instruments and ask questions directly to our team of expert engineers.

Please review the seminar topics below and select all those of interest to you. Some seminar topics are repeated to allow for more flexibility when making your choices.

As spaces are limited I would encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure your place. If you have any questions you can contact us on +46 (0)200 882255 or email us at kundcenter@keysight.com

Seminar Track 1
Time Keysight Solutions for Seminar description Speaker
09:00 - 09:45 Complete Characterization using PNA-X and SA/SG - One Connection "All" measurements A complete solution that enables creation and analysis of 5G NR signals. Analysis of S-parameter, Gain Compression, Noise Figure etc. and modulated measurements such as EVM and ACP to be performed with a single connection. This single connect solution becomes extra important in probed applications and with higher frequencies where switch matrixes can introduce large uncertainties.  Andreas Tenggren
10:00 - 10:45 Probing - Passive to high speed. Why so many variations of probes? This presentation will cover a variety of probes from passive to high speed digital. Here we will cover what to consider when selecting probes for our measurement. Thomas Göransson
11:00 - 11:45 Over-the-Air (OTA) Test Challenges for 5G Network Infrastructure Components What is meant by OTA and what are the related test and measurement challenges in the 5G era. How do phased arrays work and why are they important, and how will Keysight solutions help making measurements to appropriately characterize 5G signals. Payam Khani
12:00 - 12:45 Applying a new "Scenario Framework" Simulation Technique to a Multi-Static System With the ability to process multi-path reflections, multi-static systems, improve the performance of advanced radar and EW systems. Testing such systems requires a solution that can incorporate the dynamics of moving targets, moving platforms, multiple antennas, clutter, jamming and interference. This paper will apply a promising new technique called Generic Scenario Framework Simulation (GSFS) to the simulation and evaluation of a multi-static radar system. To further improve the design in its earliest stages, the solution can also incorporate links to measurement equipment. In this presentation we will discuss modeling and simulation of a multi-static system based on Scenario Framework techniques. We will address some especially challenging issues and present solutions based on the GSFS technique. Andrzej Ciminski
13:00 - 13:45 Complete Characterization using PNA-X and SA/SG - One Connection "All" measurements A complete solution that enables creation and analysis of 5G NR signals.
14:00 - 14:45 IoT, Power analysis in wireless battery driven devices In the simplest power analysis you use a multimeter to measure volt and current. When you have high frequency components in your design you need to take a closer look on higher frequencies. These devices may run in the low Nano Amps in sleep mode up to Ampere when active. This requires god dynamics on measurements. This presentation will cower different tools for analysis and their strengths and limitations. Thomas Göransson
15:00 - 15:45 Over-the-Air (OTA) Test Challenges for 5G Network Infrastructure Components What is meant by OTA, and what are the related test and measurement challenges in the 5G era. How do phased arrays work and why they are important, and how will Keysight solutions help making measurements to appropriately characterize 5G signals. Payam Khani

16:00 - 18:00 AFTER WORK Networking & Refreshments

Seminar Track 2
Time Keysight Solutions for Seminar description Speaker
09:00 - 09:45 Battery Testing - Power Management Solutions With smaller and lighter mobile wireless devices, using larger batteries is not an option. Battery operating time must be optimized. Analyzing battery current drain or battery drain can help accomplish this task. Michael Augustsson

10:00 - 10:45

Quality calibrations, and why it is important

Learn the technical differences between different calibration services and be able to specify the services that best fit your needs.
What are the important differences?
- Traceability
- Measurement uncertainty
- Product Specifications versus the Extent of test
- Influential Standards (17025) & Accreditation
- Adjustments & Calibration Intervals
Bo Björck
11:00 - 11:45 Test Systems and Switch matrices Description of process for creating custom solutions for Signal Processing, RF switch boxes, and integrated test systems. Bengt Svensson
12:00 - 12:45

Test and Measurement Equipment Management

Do you feel that you have good control of your assets?
Can you easily access the due date for all your instruments?
Do you know the utilization of your most costly instrument?
Can you predict when your instruments are about to give up and should be sent to service?
If you say no to any of these questions please join us during this session
Thomas Rydén / Mikko Kärkkäinen
13:00 - 13:45 BenchVue – Complete Control Software apps for easy instrument control and simplified automation. Quickly create automated test sequences with minimal instrument knowledge. Intuitively control instruments, automate tests and perform in-depth analysis. Michael Augustsson
14:00 - 14:45

End to end test with Ixia

Data center convergence, enterprise expansion, and new service deployments require you to combine many different technologies—including physical and virtualized devices—into a single network infrastructure. Such networks must handle massive amounts of traffic, while delivering the quality of experience that mission critical applications demand.
Network equipment manufacturers need to be positive that their equipment can handle the infrastructure needs of a complex network. Service providers and enterprises also want to stress their data center and network infrastructure to ensure that they can support traffic volumes with high quality of service.
Johan Malmenholt
15:00 - 15:45

Visibilty Architecture with Ixia

Proper network monitoring consists of more than just attaching a security and monitoring tool to a tap or SPAN port. Learn how a network packet broker can be effectively used to:

• Filter data to ensure that the right information is sent to the right tool at the right time
• Load balance data across multiple tools to extend the life of your existing tools
• Provide visibility into SSL/TLS traffic
• Mask sensitive personal data before it’s being forwarded to your tools

Ronny Gahns
