Genesys Learning days in Germany

Are you interested in getting more productive? Are you getting all the value that GENESYS can provide?

Join us for the GENESYS Learning Days in Böblingen starting on Tuesday March 10th 2015! Over the course of the three days we will offer a continuous series of training classes with hands-on labs covering a wide range of topics about RF-Circuit, Electromagnetic- and System-Simulation.

The first Learning Day is an introduction into the Basics of GENESYS, Linear & Nonlinear circuit simulation, Filter-Syntheses and Library & Model Management. The second day will focus on Momentum - our 3-D-Planar Electromagnetic Solver. The last day covers the Frequency Planning tool (WhatIF) and the System Simulation (Spectrasys), which also includes digitally modulated RF Analysis to simulate EVM, BER and ACPR.

You can register for one or more days at your convenience. However, you have to start with the first day to attend the next one and so on. If you are already an experienced user of GENESYS you can register for any day. Computers will be provided by Keysight for those who do not plan to bring their own laptop.

The cost of classes is 490 € per day including lunches and refreshments.



Day 1 - Tuesday March 10th, 2015 Circuit Simulation & Syntheses

  • Learn the Genesys Basics
    • Get familiar with the Genesys User Interface
  • Experience the power of the filter synthesis tools
    • Create lumped and distributed filters
  • Overview of Library & Model management
    • Create your own libraries and parts
  • Nonlinear Analysis and Managing Data
    • Setting up one- and two-tones analyses


Day 2 - Wednesday March 11th, 2015 : Electromagnetic Simulation

  • Introduction into Momentum
    • Theory and typical application
    • Design Flow incl. Circuit-EM-Co-Simulation
  • Momentum simulation capabilities
    • Simulation Modes and Options
    • Investigating the different EM-Ports
  • Antenna simulation
    • Create a Dipol antenna
    • Display Far Field Pattern and other figures of merit


Day 3 - Thursday March 12th, 2015 : System Simulation

  • Frequency Planning (WhatIF)
    • Perform frequency planning for different scenarios
  • RF-Architecture Design (Spectrasys)
    • Setting up a RF-System and investigate results
    • Typical System-Applications
    • Create and investigate a complete FM-Receiver
  • Modulated RF analysis for systems and circuits (Spectrasys)
    • Simulate digital modulation metrics such as EVM, BER and ACPR
