Keysight MQA And MBP Tools For Effective Device Modeling And Verification

1   Hour | Webcast | Where & When

Overview:

Accurate electronic devices modeling is a crucial factor for successful chip design. But besides fitting measurement data, like currents and charges, a good model needs also to be pretty robust, in order to maintain a physical behavior and also to avoid simulation convergence problems. We will discuss two software packages, Model Builder Program (MBP) and Model Quality Assurance (MQA) which assist achieving these goals.

Who should attend:

Device Modeling Engineers, Fabless Design Houses, Process Development Engineers

The Presenters: Dr. Franz Sischka and Shuang Cai

Presenter: Dr. Franz Sischka

Dr. Franz SischFranz Sischkaka studied electronic communications at Univ. Stuttgart/Germany where he also did his PhD (Dr.-Ing.)

In 1984 he joined HP, working in Boeblingen Instruments Division, fiber optics division, and then changed to HP Application Engineering in 1989, supporting Semiconductor Test Systems and the (at that time just introduced) modeling software IC-CAP. Since then he has been providing the technical support for IC-CAP in all of Europe.

Some of his responsibilities and achievements are as follows:

  • developed modeling strategies for diodes, transistors and passive components
  • organized user meetings and seminars
  • responsible for the shipping demo_features directory of IC-CAP
  • author and trainer of the IC-CAP LearningWeek in Europe
  • author of the Modeling Handbook at http://edocs.soco.keysight.com/display/iccapmhb/Home

PresentShuang Caier: Shuang Cai

Shuang Cai got his Master degree in University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.

He started his career as software R&D Engineer with Accelicon, which is acquired by Keysight in 2012, in Beijing, China in 2006.

After he worked for 3 years as a software engineer, Shuang Cai took up a Technical Support Engineer role in Accelicon. Based in Beijing, China, he is supporting the ex-Accelicon’s products MBP and MQA.
