WHAT IS THE WEBCAST ABOUT

Increased communications capacity continues to be the primary objective for fiber optic system and component engineers whether designing transoceanic networks or connecting two adjacent data switches. In addition to simply building faster devices, a variety of techniques are being employed to squeeze more information through an optical fiber including parallel data structures, advanced modulation techniques, and coherent receivers. In this webcast we will discuss how test and measurement techniques have evolved to keep pace with changes in optical communications. The discussion should be beneficial to both R&D engineers as well as those designing manufacturing test solutions.

PRESENTER

Greg Le Cheminant, Measurement Applications Specialist, Keysight Technologies

Greg Le Cheminant is a Measurement Applications Specialist for digital communications analysis products in the Oscilloscope Products Division. He is responsible for product management and development of new measurement applications for the division’s digital communications analyzer and jitter test products. He represents Keysight on several industry standards committees. Greg's experience at Keysight/Agilent/HP began in 1985 with five years in manufacturing engineering, and the remainder in various product marketing positions. He is a contributing author to four textbooks on high-speed digital communications and has written numerous technical articles on test related topics. He holds two patents. Greg earned BSEET and MSEE degrees from Brigham Young University.
