5DX users benefit from configuring Automatic Reporter

5DX users eliminate a hassle by configuring Automatic Reporter to avoid sending Algorithm Tuner results and images to ITF.

Keysight Medalist 5DX Automated X-ray Inspection users can avoid the hassle of stopping Automatic Reporter and deleting those .res files and image folders every time a fine tune of a program is done.

Follow the procedure below and start implementing on your Medalist 5DX systems today.

1. Open for editing your TRCMDPRO.CMD file. This is found inside C:\5DX\RX.X\master folder. Make a backup, right click the file and choose Edit.

  TRCMDPRO.CMD file
  5DX

2. Inside TRCMDPRO.CMD, find the block that is not commented with a semicolon. A block is composed of filtering part and command part. In this article, it is assumed that the user has not setup this file with filtering and so the block that the user should see is only the command part, as shown below.

BEGIN
    echo ART Block
    mkdir Q:\RES\&TRNAME
    echo Sending JPEG Images to ART
    . . .
    cmd /cdel /Q $(RESROOT)\&TRNAME.log
END

3. Create a new block with filtering part and command part like the one shown below. Put this block on top of the existing block.

BOARDSERIALNUMBER=Component*
BEGIN
    echo Not sending to ITF
    echo Running Auto Reporter
    echo Deleting Image Files
    cmd /cdel /Q $(RESROOT)\&TRNAME\*.*
    echo Deleting Image Folder
    rd $(RESROOT)\&TRNAME
    cmd /cdel /Q $(RESROOT)\&TRNAME.log
END

4. Create another block but this time the filtering part value is Component. Put this block just below the first block that was created. Refer to the block below.

BOARDSERIALNUMBER=Component*
BEGIN
    echo Not sending to ITF
    echo Running Auto Reporter
    echo Deleting Image Files
    cmd /cdel /Q $(RESROOT)\&TRNAME\*.*
    echo Deleting Image Folder
    rd $(RESROOT)\&TRNAME
    cmd /cdel /Q $(RESROOT)\&TRNAME.log
END

5. Save the file and reset the Automatic Reporter. The next time the user uses Algorithm Tuner, they will not need to stop the reporter.

6. The user can insert a command on those blocks to report or log the results every time the user hits the Run button of the Algorithm Tuner. With this report users can make tuning faster because it replaces the need to go to Review Defects.
