How do I remotely transfer screen images from my ESA/PSA Series Spectrum Analyzer using Visual Basic 6?

Keysight Technologies support engineers can help explain the functionality of Keysight Technologies software components and associated commands, but they will not modify these samples to provide added functionality or construct procedures to meet your specific needs.

The example program, screen.bas, is written for the PSA and ESA Series Spectrum Analyzers. It transfers the current screen image on the analyzer over GPIB or LAN and stores the image on your PC in the current directory as screen.gif.

screen.exe in the compiled executable of screen.bas.

You can try it out by connecting up a PSA and ESA Series Spectrum Analyzers to GPIB address 18 and running the program. It will store the current screen image as
picture.gif in the directory you run the executable from.

Download Instructions:
Save the self extracting file to disk. Extract the files and place them in your current Visual Basic 6 working directory.

Set the GPIB address of the instrument to address 18. Connect the GPIB cable and execute program. The screen image will be saved to a file named picture.gif in your working directory.
