Generate faded signals with up to a 30 MHz RF bandwidth
Selecting Option 161 for N5115A Baseband Studio for fading extends the 17 MHz fading channel up to a 30 MHz RF bandwidth (measured 0.1 dB down) with 9 paths, and less than 1 ns delay resolution for demanding channel simulation of wireless environments. A unique processing algorithm enables you to choose up to 48 paths for applications that do not require the full 30 MHz bandwidth.

Typical applications
Option 161 is required performing channel simulation of signals that have a bandwidth at or below 30 MHz. Common uses include design verification of WLAN, mobile phone and cellular base station receivers. Dual-channel configurations for applications such as transmit or receive diversity are also available.

Note: Dual-channel configurations require two of each desired option, as well as two N5101A Baseband Studio PCI cards. Option 161 does not extend the fading bandwidth when used with the E5515C wireless communications test set.
