Description

Option 309 adds an integrated built-in variable voltage DC bias source to the FieldFox analyzer. The source provides 1 to 32 VDC with maximum current of 650 mA and 7 watts maximum power. The DC bias source can provide DC power to amplifiers under test and bias tower mounted amplifiers (TMA) when engineers need to sweep through the TMA to reach the antenna. The bias-tee is available separately. The DC output has an SMB (m) connector.

Recommended accessory:

N9910X-713, Bias-tee power cable SMB (f) to BNC (m)

Alternatively, you can purchase Microsoft's Streets & Trips GPS USB receiver (needs to have the u-blox chip set). You do not need to purchase any FieldFox options for the external USB-based GPS to work. However, the USB-based GPS only provides time and location data, and time synchronization capability. It cannot be used to increase the frequency accuracy of the instrument.

Option 309 can be added as a product upgrade.
