Description

The U3035P Option 044 distribution network enables up to four Keysight PSG signal generators to operate in a phase locked and coherent mode at a common frequency. It operates in three frequency bands: 250 kHz to 250 MHz, 250 MHz to 3.2 GHz, and > 3.2 GHz. The upper frequency limit is determined by the frequency range option selected on the PSG signal generator. In addition, this distribution network includes a built-in 400 MHz oscillator that acts as a common clock source for the baseband generators in each of the four E8267D PSGs.

The distribution network takes an oscillator signal from one “master” signal source, amplifies it, and distributes it to multiple “slave” signal sources. The distribution amplifier has two modes of operation: Distribution Mode and Calibration Mode. The mode of operation is selected manually with a switch on the front panel or remotely over a 9 pin control interface.

Required signal generator options:

  • E8257D PSG analog signal generator: E8257D-HCC.
  • E8267D PSG vector signal generator: E8267D-HCC. For operation below 250 MHz, E8267D-H1G is also required.

This option cannot be added as a product upgrade – only available at time of purchase.
