86100D-202 Enhanced Impedance and S-Parameter Software compliments 86100D TDR/TDT mode and provides a fully integrated, real-time, and calibrated TDR and S-Parameter measurement solution.

TDR/TDT and S-Parameters are used for a variety of reasons:

  • Signal Integrity (SI) engineering: Shorten design cycles - accurately characterize single-ended and differential impedances in both the time and frequency domain
  • Compliance measurements – ensure your device meets specifications
  • Process control: Maintain consistent quality in printed circuit board (PCB) and passive component manufacturing
  • Fault location: Identify the location of shorts, opens, or other discontinuities to repair the DUT or gain insights for improvements

TDR/TDT and S-Parameter measurements are easy to setup and perform using the intuitive user interface on the 86100D DCA-X.

Simultaneous viewing of single-ended, mixed mode and differential S-Parameters

The user can enable all TDR steps within a single TDR module, and the DCA-X software will control the TDR steps to display whatever frequency domain responses are requested by the user. This enables simultaneous displays of single-ended, mixed-mode and differential frequency domain responses, as shown below.
