PROPSIM Channel Emulation WLAN 802.11ax Testing
The PROPSIM Channel Emulation Solution enables chipset, device manufacturers and test labs to validate the performance of new WLAN 802.11ax advanced features under uncompromised, coherent real-world complex 3D propagation channel conditions.
Performance validation of advanced features introduced in the 802.11ax standard implies realistic test scenarios and propagation conditions. Keysight’s PROPSIM Channel Emulation Solution offers superior EVM performance when conducting tests using a 1024-QAM modulation scheme, which offers more efficient spectrum utilization. Users can easily verify performance in dense deployments, which commonly leverage beamforming technology and multi-user MIMO (in both up- and downlink).
Keysight’s PROPSIM Channel Emulation Solution is seen as an industry standard MIMO channel emulator for WLAN 802.11 chipset research and design verification. It supports client and access points in all specified bands (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz) with signal bandwidths of up to 320 MHz/160+160 MHz in combination with eight spatial streams for 3D beamforming and multi-user MIMO testing.
Keysight’s PROPSIM FS16 is capable for MU-MIMO and Beamforming testing with 4x4bi, 4x8bi and 8x8bi with 160MHz BW configurations. More capabilities can be achieved with PROPSIM F64 where MU-MIMO and Beamforming with 4x4bi, 4x8bi, 8x8bi, 8x16bi and 8x32bi with 160MHz BW configurations are supported.
The PROPSIM Channel Emulation Solution combines with Keysight’s E7770A Common Interface Unit to extend the frequency to 6-12GHz bands.
