HIGHLIGHTS

The Keysight E2930B exerciser and protocol analyzer is a PCI-X DDR I/O protocol test card which provides the latest verification technology for PCI-X 2.0 Mode 1 and Mode 2. It allows R&D and QA engineers in the computer industry to debug, effectively test and validate PCI-X based designs such as servers, motherboards, chip-sets, RAID systems & network interface cards. The E2930B boasts speedier, dramatically increased test coverage, which vastly enhances the quality of designs, and at the same time, greatly reduces the risk of costly respins and recalls.

The modular test card incorporates a PCI-X protocol checker, a PCI-X exerciser as well as a protocol analyzer. The protocol exerciser is able to send and respond to specific traffic patterns. It is also fully programmable, which enables BIOS testing, as well as the ability to stress all data paths in a system, test corner cases and test the error recovery system. The protocol analyzer, on the other hand is a typical bring up and debug test tool for root cause analysis, troubleshooting and performance optimization. When set-up with the exerciser, it views the bus traffic of the device and demonstrates problems which could potentially occur.

The E2930B is a short PCI-X card, which is simply plugged into the device under test, and an interactive Graphical User Interface, a customized C-Application Programming Interface, or a TCL interface can be used to control it.
