IO Libraries Suite 2024

  • Added KCCS & KIIS support, services crucial for applications relying on the IO Libraries Suite for instrument discovery and communication.
    KIIS supports REST communication, while KCCS supports communication via web sockets.
  • KDI utility updated from version 3.2 to 3.4.
  • For a list of tested versions of Linux OS flavors and their kernel versions, please refer to the ReadMe documentation.
  • For more information on offline installations and packages you must have as prerequsites, please refer to the ReadMe documentation.

 

This release closely follows the prior releases of Keysight IO Libraries Suite (for Linux). Below is a list of supported and unsupported features (in comparison to the Windows product):

Major features supported:

  • Utilities including Connection Expert, the Instrument Discovery Service, Interactive IO, and IO Monitor.
  • Programming libraries for VISA and SICL.
  • IO Interface supported: LAN (HiSLIP, VXI-11/SICL-LAN, and SOCKET), PCI/PCIe GPIB, USB/GPIB, USBTMC, RS-232, Remote GPIB, Remote USB, and Remote RS-232.
     

Major features NOT supported:

  • PXI/AXIe
  • VXI
  • Remote IO Server

How to Download

  • Click on the Download IOLS button on the right to download the IO Libraries Suite for Linux Installer.
  • Click on the Download IOLS Kernel Drivers button on the right to download the IO Libraries Suite for Linux Kernel Drivers Installer.
  • The "Open Source Libraries" button allows you to download the Open Source Libraries that are used in IOLS 2024 for Linux

How to Install

  1. Run the Kernel Drivers installer with sudo permissions.
  2. Run the IO Libraries Suite installer with sudo permissions.
  3. Reboot.
