About Command Expert
Keysight's Command
Expert software combines instrument commands, documentation, syntax
checking, command execution, and code generation all in one simple interface.
Command Expert works with instruments that use Standard Commands for
Programmable Instrumentation (SCPI), IVI-C, IVI-COM, or
IVI.NET drivers.
For each SCPI command set you install, Command Expert generates a SCPI.NET driver for Visual Studio
applications.
Command Expert
Add-ons let you use Command Expert for easy instrument control in
Excel, LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, SystemVue, VEE, and Visual Studio.

Known Issues
- ivi.visa.interop, version = 3.0.0.0’ Assembly Not Found issue, due to
the backward compatibility issue of IO Libraries Suite 2021 and
Update 1 with VISA Shared Components 7.1.
For this, you need to install other IO Libraries versions before
installing Command Expert.
- Version 1.6 Uninstaller is
not functioning properly.
When upgrading from version 1.6 to
current, firstly, you need to run Version 1.6 uninstaller and then
manually clean up Windows Registry. For this, search Command Expert and delete all
the installation-related registries.
