Keysight: a Great Place to Work for the second year running

We’ve done it again: for the second consecutive year, Keysight Technologies has been officially certified as a Great Place to Work by the leading global authority on high trust, high-performance workplace cultures. Great Places to Work® surveyed hundreds of our team about their employee experience, and an overwhelming 93% said they are proud to tell others they work at Keysight, with 94% saying they enjoy our welcoming environment. So, what do we do that makes Keysight employees rate us so highly, year after year?

Putting people first

At the core of everything we do is Keysight’s Leadership Model (KLM), which drives innovation, speed, and excellence across every aspect of our operations. One of KLM’s three core pillars is enabling our employees globally to develop their skills and thrive in a supportive work culture where they have all the necessary tools needed to perform at their best. We achieve this by offering a wide range of training programs and development resources to help develop individuals’ knowledge and abilities, which in turn creates a positive work experience and nurtures new ideas.

This commitment to people starts even before a new employee joins Keysight. For example, instead of external recruiters, we have college recruiting teams who are employees in the roles that successful applicants will occupy, making the process more realistic and relatable for candidates.

When new employees join Keysight, our mentoring and ‘buddy’ programs ensure that they quickly feel part of their team. And we offer a wide range of innovative programs, workshops, classes and resources to help every employee excel in their careers. This includes resources such as Keysight University, which enables timely and personalized employee-driven education that’s based on individual needs and interests.

The commitment goes beyond the workplace, too, as KLM also advocates and actively supports philanthropy and volunteerism in the communities where Keysight operates. We offer paid time off so employees can dedicate time to the external philanthropic, environmental and educational projects that they care about.

Embracing diversity

We also champion diversity, openness, collaboration, and inclusion for every single employee. This has been recognised by FORTUNE Magazine, which named Keysight in its 2018 listing of the 100 Best Workplaces for Diversity.

Gender equality continues to be a strong area of focus at Keysight, too. We are proud to continually maintain a near 1:1 salary ratio worldwide of women to men. We understand the importance of investing in the success and advancement of female employees, helping to develop the next generation of engineers. That’s why we continue to foster long-standing relationships with organizations that empower and inspire women — such as the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). We also continue to run and expand our successful programs in schools and universities to introduce women to engineering and technology subjects.

Doing the right thing

The Great Place to Work and FORTUNE Magazine listings are a testament to our incredible people and vibrant corporate culture. And our team and culture has also led to Keysight being ranked at #21 in Forbes’ Just 100 2019 listing. This initiative assessed nearly 900 of America's largest publicly traded companies to determine which are the best at being responsible to their employees, customers, partners, communities and the environment.

As Forbes stated when announcing the listing: ‘These are the 100 companies that are taking the public interest into their own hands and generating better returns for themselves and society in the process.’ It’s a testimonial that we’re very proud to receive, because it reflects the combined contributions of everyone here at Keysight.
