I'm a SUB-20 fan and already guru.
After a few weeks of intensive work with SUB-20 support team we have released a first sample of SUB-20 to VEE integration via .NET component
Please take a look here:
http://www.xdimax.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=496

This integration opens a huge number of SUB-20 features to be available in VEE:

  • I2C Master and I2C Slave, USB to SMBus

  • High Speed I2C Master 3.4 MHz HS mode

  • SPI Master and SPI Slave

  • GPIO - 32 GPIO, PWM, Edge detectors

  • ADC - 8 Analog Inputs (A/D Converters)

  • RS232, RS485, ModBus

  • 4x USB-I2C, 2x UARTs, 4x SPI, 2x MDIO

  • 8x2 LCD, Leds, Push Buttons

Next we are going to try to run IEEE 802.3 Clause 22 and Clause 45 Management Data I/O (MDIO), 4MHz CFP MSA and High Speed I2C.
Will let you know.

Looks nice, but what Vee needs now is a RTOS home, where it can sit and perform on a proocessor, on it's own.

Most companies are tied up in SW control, and wont allow any others in... AB for example....

If Agilent get an RTOS going for Vee.... they'll leapfrog NI, IMO...
