When I press WaveGen then Settings, pressing the second softkey from the right 4 times on my DSO-X2024, a window pops up showing the function generator parameters. Pressing the softkey 4 more time, the window closes. It's not mentioned in the User's Guide and I assume it only works when the WAVEGEN option is installed.

Cool!

I've never seen lsot, so it is kinda meaningless to me...

but there is yet one more... the one that shows the developer names....

-------------------------

but do you remember, on one of the older scopes, there was an easter egg that was basically a stick figure or two standing in fornt of the moutnains? I don't recall which scope of how to get to it... I think is was one of the 54620/640s, but it might have been an earlier scope too.

the 54645 has also a bunch of easter eggs.
hit the system button.

the middle 2 buttons below the screen should be empty.
press two or more of those simultaneously.
there is the 'badger screen' which shows a picture of a badger and the names of the developers.
there is arkanoids and on some machines ( dpeneding on software version ) tetris.
Also installing option packs ( like gpib card) changes the easter eggs.

The newer 622's also have easter eggs unless you have upgraded them to the latest version. Then it will show you a message that states ' Due to the firmware size of this update we had to remove the games. Sorry. '

Not only the scopes have these kind of gimmicks. the 3314 signal generator has such easter eggs too. it plays music . you have to hold down 'preset' while powering it up.
Lots of agilent / HP equipment has these easter eggs.

That brings back memories! "Badger" was the code name for one of the 54645 products.

I feel honored to have been involved in that introduction. It was fun to show the MSO capabilities to embedded engineers and see their eyes light up!
