PNAX Toolbar Display via SCPI?

Hello PNAX Programmers/Developers,

Is there any way in which the display state of the toolbars can be controlled via SCPI. F/ware doc for 09.42 suggests no - is there some undoc'd commands? Alternatively - is there any plan to provide SCPI control of this feature?

There is a COM method app.ShowToolbar, but no equivalent SCPI cmds.

Reason for asking - my end user wants screen dumps from PNAX. I would like to turn off the softkeys and the other toolbars before issuing an sdump? command to pull back the PNG file.....

Thanks

andy

via SCPI, you can turn off the status bar (at the bottom), but not any tool bar that may be up. the command for turning off the status bar is:

DISPlay:ANNotation:STATus OFF

Too bad - any plans to include toolbar configuration via SCPI in the near'ish future....?

If not, can you comment on the concept of:
write a macro that reside on the PNA that will manage the toolbars via COM and kick this off via a SCPI exec command (system:shortcut:execute)....

Maybe a little convoluted (but speed is not an issue here) and that softkey array in the screenshot is bugging me...

Thx

Dr_joel, I think he means to do this programmatically.

Thanks - yes, I was after a programmatic approach.

I think I have solved by using a COM-based macro. VBS file downloaded to PNA:

' Proof of concept VBS to adjust toolbar displays
' Run this to remove toolbars (incl softkeys)
' 1.00
' 12-05-21

Dim pApp

set pApp=CreateObject("AgilentPNA835x.Application")

pApp.ShowToolbar 0,0 ' None (???)
pApp.ShowToolbar 1,0 ' Active entry
pApp.ShowToolbar 2,0 ' Markers
pApp.ShowToolbar 3,0 ' Measurement
pApp.ShowToolbar 4,0 ' Stimulus
pApp.ShowToolbar 5,0 ' Sweep control

Then execute macro via SCPI command....

yes - that is the only programmatic option you have right now. we have logged your request in our defect tracking system and it will be addressed in our next available major release (roughly 6-8 months from now).
