Good day to all

I would like to ask an opinion if this kind of set-up is possible.

Hardware Set-up:
1 - Agilent N6700B Power supply mainframe.
2 - Agilent N6752A power supply module with High-speed test extensions.

Scenario:
- using the Listmode function provided by the High-speed Test extensions the 2 waveforms will be programmed on the Agilent N6752A power supply modules.

Problem for inquiry:

Synchronization
- to synchronize the execution of the 2 waveforms, I am planning to use the trigger out function of list mode on power supply module 1 to trigger the execution of power supply module 2. Is this possible on N6700B?
- If this is not possible, do you have any recommendation regarding this scenario?

Thank you very much to All!

Hi Joel,

Yes there is a way to do this. You can use the following two commands:
LIST:TOUTput:BOSTep:DATA <Bool>{,<Bool>}, (@<chanlist>) - this command will generate a trigger at the beginning of the transient step.
LIST:TOUTput:EOSTep:DATA <Bool>{,<Bool>}, (@<chanlist>) - this command will generate a trigger at the end of each transient step.
You would need to set these up on the unit that you want controlling the timing.

On the unit that you want to trigger, you just need to set the transient trigger source to the transient on the first channel using:
TRIGger:TRANsient:SOURce TRANsient<n>, (@<chanlist>) where <n> is the channel you are triggering off of.

I think that this might be able to do what you are looking to do.

Note that the N6700B requires option 054 for this functionality.

Hi Matt,

Thank you very much for the reply.

I would like to confirm that option "054" is "High Speed Test Extension".
Am i correct?

Hi Joel,

Yes, option "054" is "High Speed Test Extension". I should have been clearer in my previous message.
