When performing a Source Power Calibration, can the power meter be on the same GPIB bus as the network analyzer, or does the power meter have to be connected to USB port on the network analyzer? Is there a way to configure so we can perform source power cals when needed, but not have to communicate with the power meter through the analyzer?

all of our C model PNAs have two GPIB ports on the back. One is marked "Controller", and the other is marked "Talker/Listener". whenever, the PNA is going to control an external GPIB device (ex. a power meter for source power cal), then that device should be connected to the GPIB port marked "Controller" or it can be connected to USB port via a USB-GPIB adapter. However, it should never be on the same bus as the PNA's Talker/Listener port.
As Dara stated, you can connect your power meter to the PNA's GPIB Controller port or a USB-GPIB adapter. But as I see you mentioned your meter is a N1914A and those have a device-side USB control port, the PNA can control the meter just via USB if you wish. Once you make the USB connection, in the PNA's Power Meter Settings dialog you'd select 'USB' and the meter's ID should then be seen to be selectable there.
