Thanks Andrew - do you know if there are any plans to include it?
For me the usage model is as follows: * I have a big library of PNA code that manages the config and measurements on the PNA * Would be very helpful to have a flag that can toggle the monitor on/off, to capture PNA traffic, without having to manually intervene to set the monitor state from the UI * I can use the monitoring tools supplied with the vendors VISA, but typically these do not dump out friendly data formats (e.g. Agilent IO dumps an xml file that is best viewed with the viewer, no IO libs, difficult to view)
If you can sneak it in to a firmware spin, it would be great
I am going to let you in on a secret but if you decide to use this information you have to be aware and abide by the following disclaimer:
DIAG commands are not officially supported. Agilent reserves the right to alter or discontinue any DIAG command at any time without notice. we will not provide support or be responsible for any external program that relies on DIAG commands.
if you can live with the disclaimer above, then the code for turning on and turning off the GPIB monitor is the following:
Turn on monitoring: "DIAG:BUSM:STAT 1" Turn on the window: "DIAG:BUSM:WIND 1" Stop Monitoring: "DIAG:BUSM:STAT 0" Turn off the window: "DIAG:BUSM:WIND 0"
