86100D DCA-X with 54754A TDR/TDT Module and N1021B Differential probe

Hi,

I'm using 86100D DCA-X with 54754A TDR/TDT Module and N1021B Differential probe to do measurement on my cables.

Measurement is done in impedance mode.

Can I convert the impedance reading to inductance and capacitance related to what I have measured using the marker?

Kindly advise if this is feasible?

make sure you calibrate (normalize) the TDR system. youc an only calibrate to then ends of the cables that conenct to the N1021B.

then u can use the markers to emasure excess reactance and inductance.

Use this formulas to convert impedance to inductance and capacitance

Capacitive Reactance Xc = 1/(2πfC)
Inductive Reactance Xʟ = 2πfL
Impedance Z = √(R² + X²)
where X = Xʟ – Xc
Phase angle θ = arctan (X/R)
Xc, Xʟ, Z are in Ω, f is in Hz
C in farads, L in Henry
