If you want to output a sequence only 1 time, or only when a trigger is received, you need to tell the last waveform in your sequence to output once and wait for a trigger.

EX:

DATA:SEQ #3143mySequence,”USB:\A.arb”,0,once,lowAtStart,10,”USB:\B.arb”,0,once,highAtStart,10,
”USB:\C.arb”,0,once,maintain,10,"USB:\A.arb",0,onceWaitTrig,lowAtStart,10

This configuration will output the sequence 1 time, and hold at a DC level until the function generator receives a trigger telling it to start the sequence again.

Hi lhornburg

I am using U2761A arb waveform generator and I would like to output a single 1MHz sine wave (not continuous) similar to your post description. Would you be able to guide me on how to accomplish this?

Thanks

U2761A is not able to output a single waveform only. So, therefore, U2761A is not able to perform as you wish.
