Release types
- TBC releases are provided with little or no Keysight qualification. They integrate the most recent TTCN-3 test cases and are in the process of being evaluated by companies engaged in the WiMAX Forum’s validation process in Malaga, Spain. If test results indicate progress from earlier revisions, TBC releases will be re-classified as Beta within 14 to 28 days of initial availability. Releases that have poorer performance than earlier releases will be re-classified as not recommended, or removed.
- Beta releases have completed some testing by companies engaged in the WiMAX Forum’s validation process in Malaga, and have produced results which are an improvement on earlier Beta or Qualified releases. Beta releases may contain unresolved software issues or unexpected operation. Beta releases will also contain test cases that have been validated for certification testing of WiMAX devices.
- Qualified releases have been tested with the majority of software issues resolved before release. Qualified releases will normally not contain the most up to date features and will be released less often.
Beta releases with the highest available revision number are recommended. Please check release notes for known issues with some test cases.
