L449xA Firmware Update Revision 2.51
Procedure to install L449xA Firmware Revision 2.51:
- Download and install the Keysight L449xA Firmware Update Utility located in the Documents & Downloads section at the bottom of this page. If you already have the Firmware Update Utility installed on your computer, skip this step.
- Download the Keysight L449xA Firmware Revision 2.51 file located in the Documents & Downloads section at the bottom of this page.
- Unzip the Keysight L449xA Firmware Revision 2.51 file, making note of where you store the unzipped file.
- Open the Firmware Update Utility (Start -> Programs -> Keysight -> Firmware Update Utility).
- Click Next.
- Click Browse and locate the firmware update file (agtL4490Series_instrument_rev251.xs) that you unzipped in step 3. Highlight the file and select Open.
- Click Next.
- Select the I/O interface (GPIB, LAN) that connects your L449xA mainframe to your PC.
- Choose the settings necessary for communication (GPIB address, IP address).
- Click Update. NOTE: This update will take several minutes and the L449xA will display status messages and automatically reboot when completed. After the first reboot, some modules in the frame may also be automatically updated, and then the frame will reboot again. DO NOT cycle or interrupt power to the L449xA during the update process.
- After this is completed, exit the update utility.
NOTE: Only one 34945EXT can be connected and updated at a time. If you have more than one 34945EXT, follow the procedure in Chapter 3 Software Installation and Configuration under "Firmware and Driver Updates" section on how to update more than one 34945EXT.
In order to upgrade using the Utility tool please download the Keysight IO Library
Keysight recommends using the most current version, which includes the most up-to-date bug fixes and security patches available.
