The Signal Integrity Verification Toolkit identifies and analyzes sources of performance-degrading jitter in multi-gigabit communication link designs. It helps designers find and remove the causes of jitter before hardware prototyping begins, eliminating costly redesign later in the development cycle.

Product Highlights

  • Transmitter jitter decomposition using proven EZJIT Plus algorithm from Keysight instruments
  • Visualize jitter in eye diagram in the Advanced Design System (ADS) data display
  • Co-simulation with HSPICE from Synopsys inside the ADS environment

The Signal Integrity Verification Toolkit features powerful transmitter jitter decomposition capabilities and provides excellent correlation between simulated and measured jitter components and BER measurements. The jitter algorithm in ADS is based on and is verified against the patented EZJIT Plus algorithm used in Keysight’s test and measurement instruments.

Additional Capability

High Frequency SPICE natively supports unencrypted HSPICE netlists, and all SPICE dialects encrypted with the ADS encryption key. Signal Integrity Verification Toolkits add support for HSPICE netlists encrypted with the Synopsys HSPICE encryption key, through co-simulation with HSPICE itself.

Note that the bit error rate (BER) is also calculated and displayed as a bathtub plot in the image above. The capability is based on patented EZJIT Plus technology, which was developed and verified in Keysight’s real-time oscilloscopes. For more information about EZJIT Plus for Keysight Oscilloscopes, refer to EZJIT Plus and EZJIT Jitter Analysis.

The Signal Integrity Verification Toolkit is integrated into the ADS Transient Convolution Element.
