Analyzing battery drain makes sense for many devices:

  • Wireless handsets, cell phones, PDAs with RF radios and charger circuits
  • Aircards and broadband cards
  • WiMAX™, WLAN, and Bluetooth devices
  • Portable GPS location and navigation devices (like Garmin, TomTom, Magellan)
  • Portable patient and health monitoring devices
  • Homeland security devices (2-way radios, walkie-talkies, etc)
  • MP3 players
  • Digital cameras

Keysight´s battery drain analysis solution ensures your mobile wireless device design offers optimum battery run time. The 14565B device characterization software and 66319B/D or 66321B/D Series mobile communication DC sources provide a powerful solution for visualizing and analyzing battery current drain in all phases of the design cycle.

Now featuring programmability, the 14565B can be integrated with test executives. This allows you to "automate" your testing by controlling your RF stimulus (Keysight 8960/E5515C) and measuring battery current drain (14565B+66319D or 66321D) from the same test program. By using Keysight´s Interactive Functional Test or Wireless Test Manager Software you can quickly build automated tests with minimal effort by dragging and dropping commands into a test sequence. Supported applications include Keysight´s Interactive Functional Test Software, Wireless Test Manager, Keysight VEE, NI LABVIEW, etc.
