Is the 85070E Material Measurement software compatible with legacy Keysight 85070A/B/C/D High Temperature Dielectric Probes?

Yes, the  85070E software is backwards compatible with all the legacy high temperature probes Keysight has sold. The first dielectric probe, model number 85070A, is unique and must be specifically selected within the application software. All the other high temperature probes, models 85070B/C/D/E are default selections within the software as shown below.

The window depicted above will appear when the user selects the Configure cal … (button) under the Calibration pull down menu in the 85070E software.

Additionally, to determine if the probe in use is an 85070A probe observe the dielectric between the inner and outer conductor of the coaxial line at the tip of the probe, the 85070A dielectric is transparent.
