Description

The "LASER PROTECTION" message indicates that the laser has been switched off to prevent damage to the laser diode. The first step is to re-enable the laser to try and clear the error message. If this does not work, try reducing the optical output power, and then re-enabling. The last step before returning the laser to a Keysight Service Center for repair is to perform an automatic laser realign. You should not use automatic realignment when the laser is stabilizing. To perform a realign use the following keystrokes:

Automatic Realignment:

1. Press AUX
2. Press Realign to initiate the automatic realignment.
