How many measurements do I need to make and how long is the predistortion data good?

The data base kept in the ESG/PSG is accessed using a key that is composed of:

• The number of measurements needed depends on the number of parameters you change.
• The predistortion is for linear corrections. These corrections are fairly stable and have held over a weekend. If the hardware environment (temperature) is stable, the calibration (measurement data) could be valid over a longer period.
   

Note: Unlike Signal Studio Toolkit, the waveform crest factor is not used in the data base key. This means that one measurement works for all patterns using the same system configuration (Data base key does not change).
