How do I obtain the Site Code for the Software?
The site code is a 30-character hexadecimal code created by the 89600 installation process to identify your computer. Each computer has a different site code. The site code on your computer will change when the trial license expires, a site key is installed, or software is installed.
If you are licensing a first-time installation, and you have not already accepted a trial license, follow these steps:
1. Start the software to be licensed by double clicking the desktop icon or by clicking:
- for 89601A: Start > (All) Programs > Keysight 89600 VSA > Spectrum Analyzer | Vector Signal Analyzer
- for 89604A: Start > (All) Programs > Keysight Distortion Suite > Distortion Suite
- for 89607A: Start > (All) Programs > Keysight WLAN Test > WLAN Test
2. When a dialog box asks if you want to obtain authorization, click Yes.
3. Click the New License tab in the Authorization dialog box.
4. Click Generate Site Code. The Site Code appears in the Site Code box. This also accepts a trial license, so that you can operate the software for 30 days while you obtain and install your permanent license. Be sure to obtain and install your Site Key within 30 days. At the end of the trial period, the trial license expires, and your Site Code changes. If you have not installed your Site Key before this happens, you must obtain a new Site Key.
If you previously accepted a trial license, OR you are upgrading your license with an Update Certificate or adding new options:
1. Start the software to be licensed by double clicking the desktop icon or:
- for 89601A: Start > (All) Programs > Keysight 89600 VSA > Spectrum Analyzer | Vector Signal Analyzer
- for 89604A: Start > (All) Programs > Keysight Distortion Suite > Distortion Suite
- for 89607A: Start > (All) Programs > Keysight WLAN Test > WLAN Test
2. Click Utilities > License > Modify. The Site Code is displayed in the Site Code box.
If you are re-licensing after the trial license has expired:
1. Start the software to be licensed by double clicking the desktop icon or by clicking:
- for 89601A: Start > (All) Programs > Keysight 89600 VSA > Spectrum Analyzer | Vector Signal Analyzer
- for 89604A: Start > (All) Programs > Keysight Distortion Suite > Distortion Suite
- for 89607A: Start > (All) Programs > Keysight WLAN Test > WLAN Test
2. When a dialog box asks if you want to obtain authorization, click Yes.
3. Click the New License tab in the Authorization dialog box.
4. Click Generate Site Code. The Site Code appears in the Site Code box. Since the trial license already expired, you will not be able to use the software until you license it.
