Does the Keysight 34951A D/A Converter require a Settling Time for Generated AC Signals?
For an AC waveform, the settling time depends on the number of points used to define the waveform. Usually, the waveform steps will be less than 1 mV, thus the accuracy should be the same as the DC accuracy which is: ±0.05% + 3 mV). Settling time is specified as: 40µS (-full scale to +full scale step, single channel, to rated accuracy).
Typical settling times into a resistive load are:
Change | Settling Time | Accuracy |
---|---|---|
±10 Volt | 100-140 µsec | 0.05%+3mv |
80-120 µsec | 0.15% | |
60-100 µsec | 1% | |
±5 Volt | 80-100 µsec | 0.05%+3mv |
60-80 µsec | 0.15% | |
40-60 µsec | 1% | |
<20 µsec | 10% | |
±1 Volt | <80 µsec | 0.05%+3mv |
60-80 usec | 0.15% | |
<60 µsec | 1% | |
<20 µsec | 10% |
