Description:
The example program SerAlign.c, is writtten for the PSA and ESA and EMC Series Spectrum Analyzers and the E4406A VSA Series Analyzer. The program demonstrates how to perform an alignment and use serial polling to determine when the alignment is finished. This allows the user to perform an alignment and not tie up the GPIB bus while waiting for the alignment to complete.

Download Instructions:
Save the text from PSA/ESA/E4406A Serial Poll Alignment Routine for C Programming file to disk and view using a text editor.

Procedure:
Compile the program using Visual C++ 5.0 or 6.0 or other ANSI C compiler. Set the GPIB address of the instrument to address 18. Connect the GPIB cable and execute program. The C program will start the alignment routine on the instrument and poll it every second to determine if the alignment routine is complete.
